Rodolfo Avila ceases the corporation with Performance Racing
Rodolfo Avila’s Management Team announces that Macanese F3 driver Rodolfo Avila will not continue to race for Performance Racing Europe in the British F3 Championship 2007.
Although the confidence in the team was extremely good last season, the chemistry between team and driver has recently been missing, following the departure of some key team members, like Mike Baker (Commercial Director/Team Manager), Alan Langridge (Chief Engineer) and Russell Eeles (Chief Mechanic).

Rodolfo Avila had an unlucky season start at Oulton Park in the British F3 Championship Round 1. The Macanese motor racing rising star had been pushed out twice on the Eater’s Monday races.

Saturday’s qualifying sessions saw Avila showing an acceptable pace after a disastrous pre-season. The #11 Dallara F307-Mugen Honda conquered the 13th and 16th positions in the 31 cars’ grid for Race 1 & 2.

Rodolfo had a very unlucky Macau Grand Prix indeed. We all had high expectations as he has had a good season at F3 this year. We wish him the best for 2007 and will continue to support him. Go Rodolfo!
Macau motorsport rising star Rodolfo Avila had an unlucky weekend at his hometown event the Macau Grand Prix. On Sunday, in the main race of FIA F3 Intercontinental Cup at Circuito da Guia, the #23 Performance Racing Dallara F306-Mügen Honda hit the barriers in the open lap. Rodolfo Avila was quite disappointed but he is now focusing on the 2007 season.

Courtesy Autosport.com | Macau Grand Prix pole position man Kamui Kobayashi has been told that his car will be repaired in time for tomorrow’s first race after his sizeable accident at the end of qualifying.
The Japanese driver was pushing hard in the closing stages when he lost control going through the Esses and smashed into the barriers. The impact badly damaged the right hand side of his car.

Kamui Kobayashi took pole position for the Macau Grand Prix in a rain-affected and incident-filled qualifying session on Friday - before smashing his car against the barriers in the final seconds.
The Japanese ASM driver moved to the top of the timesheets with 14 minutes of qualifying remaining and, with light rain falling over the track, his rivals were unable to respond to his best effort.

An update on the F3 qualifying session courtesy Jonathan Noble of Autosport.com For the followers of Rodolfo Avila he is going to start in 26th position which must be disappointing for him.
Hitech Racing’s Marko Asmer secured provisional pole position for the Macau Grand Prix on Thursday when he led the way after an incident-filled first qualifying session.
