Bangkok Airways will begin flights to Macau in July, becoming the third carrier to offer scheduled non-stop service on the fast-growing route between Bangkok and the former Portuguese colony. The Thai carrier is set to commence daily flights using a new twin engine Airbus A319, which is capable of carrying 120 passengers, on July 4.
The launch would give Bangkok Airways a share of the lucrative and booming air traffic demand of the city. Two operators have been serving the city: the no-frills carrier Thai AirAsia and the full-service airline Air Macau.

Budget airline Viva Macau has begun selling its much-awaited fares from Sydney to the Chinese province, offering a $768 flight and accommodation package as an impressive lure.
The carrier will touch down in Sydney on August 15 as the first Asian low-fares airline to fly to Australia’s eastern seaboard.

For those whose New Year resolution includes “travel more”, here’s a lucky break – AirAsia is giving one million free seats.The no-frills airline is launching the biggest regional marketing campaign by offering one million seats for all its hubs in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, and Senai), as well as Bangkok and Jakarta.
Timed to coincide with Visit Malaysia 2007, it will not only allow Malaysians to fly abroad, but also bring tourists to Malaysian destinations.
