August 1, 2006“Macao Horizons – Contemporary Art Exhibition”, in addition to the Macao Annual Art Exhibition, is a new project of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government. The theme “Macao Horizons” aims to stimulate contemporary art production with characteristics reflecting Macao’s influence by globalization, and in doing so, explore the future development of art in Macao. The exhibition is held at Tap Seac Gallery.
The exhibition aims to seek out new talents and to support new Macao artists by promoting their creativity in modern art and ability to use multi-media. A total of 42 exhibition plans were received, including painting installations, ink wash paintings, photography, calligraphy, digital images, sculptures, videos, installations and mixed media.
