You must give it to these guys, Sheldon Adelson, Dr. Stanley Ho and Lui Che Woo all multi-billionaires, in their seventies and still going for it like there is no tommorrow! The compassion, energy and the brilliant minds of these guys is a joy to watch, good on them, there is no sitting on their butts for these guys!
Lui Che Woo spells out some interesting observations in this article about his US counterparts trying to make Macau into another Las Vegas!

Macao Daily News reported the latest gaming revenue figures which are continuing to rise and are on target for a 17% for the full year. So based on those figures as we earlier reported Dr Stanley Ho Marketshare SJM income is increasing. I still do believe that SJM still occupies about 65% of Macau’s market.
Revenues in Macau’s gaming sector for September stood at MOP 4.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, according to figures.

The Las Vegas Sun send their two reporters Jeff Simpson and Richard N. Velotta to Macau to attend the opening of Wynn Macau but also to get a feeling for the market in Macau.
They wrote four excellent articles and are talking mainly about the US casino operator’s and their Casino’s in Macau. Even though they briefly mention the sub concession, they seem to forget that PBL Melco are building Crown Macau as well as developing ‘The City of Dreams’, not forgetting the Mocha Clubs that are running in Macau!

I am not so sure about these comments, as last week Stanley Ho clearly stated that Sands Macau was taking the high-rollers away from his casino’s. But then again the murder of his Golden Palace VIP executive this week, put again to the spotlight that his three Lisboa VIP gambling halls turn-overat least US$700 million a month.
So maybe Mr. Steven Tan has a point after all!

Well it is interesting to note that Las Vegas Sands, Wynn Resorts and PBL stock hardly moved. Stanley Ho has had a good run for many years, so it is good to know that other casinos’ like Sands Macao have found ways to lure the high-rollers away from SJM. Maybe it is because the give fair and honest service to them. Surely SJM will have to fight back and have to come up with some more innovative ways to get their VIP rollers back.
As reported in The Standard - Macau gaming companies such as Melco International Development fell following news reports quoting gaming tycoon Stanley Ho Hung-sun as saying his casino unit is losing revenue due to competition.

Casino gaming is increasingly accepted as a revenue stream for Asian governments and the sector is set to continue growing phenomenally with Macau leading the way, industry players said Monday.
From Australia to Singapore and other Asian countries, the region’s governments now recognise that integrated gaming “resorts”, offering casino facilities alongside entertainment and retail venues, are the way to attract more tourists and boost economic growth, they said.
