As Macau will be busting at it’s seams, according to Forbes it is now the 3rd most congested city in the world, and we take note and like to make the following observation. Just let’s do the numbers here, 502,000 registered residents, about 100,000 workers, about 60,000 visitors a day, totals 682,000 people. Spread this out over 28.2 square kilometer that equals some 24,000 people per square kilometer, we now can see why Macau is busting at it seams.
And this is just the start, add another 100,000 workers at the Cotai Strip, the another expected 100,000 visitors per day, it may well become the number one most congested city in the world.

And yet another story about Macau, but this time by Clifford Coonan from the Independent in the United Kingdom. It’s a very detailed article discussing mainly about casino’s and the characters behind it. Sadly he left Lui Chi Woo out, from whom we will hear a lot more about once his Galaxy Mega Resorts opens.
The dice are rolling hot on the tables of what was once a sleepy Portuguese colony. With millions of mainland Chinese high rollers arriving every year, developers in Macau are racing to turn the former enclave into Asia’s glittering gambling capital.
