AirAsia Adds More Flights To Macau
Written on December 19, 2006 by Macau
AirAsia will from 26 December 2006, start its third daily flight to Macau from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) in Kuala Lumpur.
AirAsia will be using Airbus A320s for the Kuala Lumpur-Macau route, this means that compared with the soon to be phased out Boeing 737s, they will have an additional 32 seats. AirAsia will phase out the Boeing 737 aircraft to replace them with a new Airbus A320 fleet.
This route has been very successful for AirAsia and has prompted them to add the third frequency to this city of entertainment. With new aircraft being delivered to us every month, it is an obvious choice for us to allocate an Airbus for this route to cope with the demand. They flew a record Malaysians and tourists to Macau to watch the Macau Grand Prix which took place last month.”
“In view of Visit Malaysia Year 2007, we also hope to carry more guests to Kuala Lumpur. Our Macau flights are very popular among tourists connecting from Southern China, Hong Kong and Macau to Kuala Lumpur. It is certainly an apt timing for us to introduce the third flight now.”
Notoriously known for its low fares, AirAsia is offering a promotional fare starting from RM49.99(US$14.00) for the third Kuala Lumpur-Macau flight. The booking period to enjoy this special fare is open from until 22 December 2006 for travel between 26 December 2006 and 24 March 2007.
