Air Macau, the flagship airline in China’s Macau Special Administrative Region, has launched flights to the South Korean city of Daegu, according to a press release issued by the company yesterday.
It said the new route, which was opened Monday, covers four flights every week and is the fourth linking Macau with South Korean cities following Seoul, Busan and Gwangju.
Air Macau had handled 87,400 South Korean passengers in the first 10 months of the year, a year-on-year rise of 44 percent, said the release.
It predicted that the number of South Korean passengers is to surpass 11,000 in 2006.
The airline, having launched the debut flight in 1995, is currently running scores of international and domestic flights.
