After four days of testing in UK, SAR Performance Racing’s Dallara F306 - Mugen Honda driver feels much more confident. The GP being Avila’s favourite event, he is fully aware of the enormity of the challenge and he maintains his objectives to be clear. “My main goal for this race is going to be the best among the local drivers. My second goal is to beat my last year result when I was 16th. If I can achieve these targets I will be pleased in the end. Realistically, for the moment, all I want is to be regarded as the best Macanese driver. It’s certainly not going to be easy race but I will give it my best shot for all citizens”.

To prepare the 53rd edition of Macau Grand Prix - the event that every up-and-coming young talent is vying for a privileged slot on the starting grid - had to leave his hometown to race in Europe. The youngest driver ever to compete in GP was 4th on the British International Series National Class 2006.

“The track could be my biggest difficulty and know the circuit quite well. I’ll be faster than I was last year but when you go faster in a circuit like this one your chances of crashing are higher. You cannot do a single mistake. Anyway my previous experiences will help me a lot. Therefore I am confident to get a good final result”, says Avila who guaranteed the support of China Unicom (), Chubb and 2nd Asian Indoor Games 2007. These three major sponsors joined to key backers Government, Hotel Fortuna, Rio Casino, -Slot.com, BNU, Gain Well Group, Tong-Lei, CESL-Asia, PAL - Asia Consult, RP , Tsingtao Beer, Fat Siu Lau Restaurant, PT Asia and Sujika Crafts as ’s Official Partners for the East Asia most famous motorsport event.

Practice and qualifying sessions for the Formula 3 Grand Prix will be held on November 16 and 17 (Thursday and Friday), with the 10-lap Qualification Race scheduled on Saturday, November 18, with the 15-lap Grand Prix on Sunday.
