Macao Has Record “Golden Week” Visitors

Macao has recorded 2.157 million border crossing (including tourists and local residents) during the Chinese mainland’s “Golden Week” holiday from Oct. 1 to 7, an official statement said on Monday.
The statement issued by the Information Bureau said the total number of tourist arrivals during the period stood at 492,564, an increase of 13.77 percent over 432,940 in the same period of last year.
The number of arrivals in the “Golden Week” period totaled 1, 069,676 (including tourists and local residents) while the total number of departures (including tourists and local residents) stood at 1,087,113.
