Just on the heels of the Hard Rock Cafe, we see that there are also plans for a Planet Hollywood in Macau. It is estimated that within the next five years non-gaming revenue wil increase from partically zero to 25% of total income.

He might have been born in north London, but Robert Earl is very much part of Hollywood.

The latest edition of the Sunday Times Rich List values his wealth at £210 million and, in addition to his role as chief executive of Planet Hollywood international, he is currently involved in a £600 million project to relaunch the Aladdin casino in Las Vegas as the jewel in his restaurant and leisure empire.

The new Planet Hollywood casino will include a glitzy theatre for live acts being developed alongside concert producers Clear Channel, as well as 4,500 rooms and a host of restaurants.

Earl also has plans to develop the idea in the Far East and is believed to be looking at the possibility of setting up a Planet Hollywood casino in Macau.
