Macau Government Awards Three 3G Licenses

(Dow Jones)- The Macau government Tuesday awarded third-generation wireless licenses to units of Hutchison Telecommunications International and China Unicom, said an official at one of the companies that participated in the bidding.
The Macau government awarded a total of three 3G licenses Tuesday, the official said.
Apart from Hutchison Telephone (Macau) Co. and Macau Unicom, a local company, Companhia de Telecomunicacoes de Macau, was granted the third license.
