N.J. probers to quiz MGM execs in Macau venture

May 25, 2006 - New Jersey investigators are preparing to take sworn statements from MGM Mirage executives about their $1 billion casino project in Macau, following two trips there to meet with American, Chinese and local gaming regulators about the deal.
The Las Vegas gambling giant is building a 28-story casino and hotel in partnership with Pansy Ho, the daughter of Asian billionaire businessman and gambling magnate Stanley Ho, who for years has been dogged by allegations he has ties to organized crime. The resort is ex pected to open late next year.
