Asian i-Gaming Congress to Be Held in Macau from 26-28 February 2008
Written on February 4, 2008 by admin
We are pleased to announce that Mr Francis Lui, Deputy Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), is confirmed to give the keynote address at AiG this year. Mr Lui has a unique vision for GEG and attributes the company’s success to the fact that it is owned and operated by Chinese and has a thorough background in hotel management and real estate development. The year-old StarWorld Hotel & Casino in Macau is testament to that.
But what about the group’s online ambitions? How does he see the future for land-based casinos getting into the online space? And what of the outlook for Asia?
AiG (formerly PCiG) is the only gambling conference in Asia that focuses solely on i-gaming. Taking place at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel from February 26-28, 2008, it is the longest-running gaming event of its kind.

Asia is becoming a hotbed for the gaming industry and revenue from casinos and other regulated gambling activities in Asia will grow 14% a year from 2005 to 2010 – the fastest pace in the world (PWC). With regulation affecting i-gaming in key markets including the US, a number of online gambling initiatives are moving to Asia as regulations force them out of the West.
AiG, now in its sixth year, returns to Macau on a much larger scale. The event sees an extended conference with streams and two pre-conference summits, as well as a larger exhibition to help facilitate the networking opportunities the industry needs.
Speakers at this year’s congress include representatives from: 1stRed.com - 777Mobile - Addisons - Alderney Gambling Control Commission - Asian Logic - Bear Stearns - Berwin Leighton Paisner - Betgenius - Boss Media - CryptoLogic - CWC Gaming - CY Foundation - Entertasia - ESL - Gobi Partners - Goncalves Pereira, Rato, Ling, Vong & Cunha - iFaFa - Jupiter Entertainment - Ladbrokes - MSO.com.cn - Pacific Lottery - PhilWeb - Playtech - Rajah & Tann - StatsOnSports - The Dumbarton Group - University of Mac - Venturing Unlimited - World Mahjong Tour - Wozhongle (China Gloria) - WSN.com
This event is perfectly timed to enable vendors to get the latest information on developments in this fast-moving industry. Whether you are looking to break into the Asian market and need advice on regulation and culture, or have an established presence in the region and want to enforce your branding and affiliations, AiG is the right event for you.
