China Investment Policies Seminar in Macau

This year, the Mainland has announced a number of laws, regulations and policies on economics and trade which will come into effect next year. For instance, a new Enterprise Income Tax Law, Employment Contract Law, Anti-monopoly Law and processing trade policy will be implemented in 2008.
These policies will have an impact on Macau enterprises’ investment and business operations in the Mainland. As such, the Seminar on China Investment Policies 2007, co-organised by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM), Macau Economic Services and Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, will be held from 9:30 am to 12 noon on 14 December (Friday) at the Lotus Room located on 5th Floor of the World Trade Centre, Macau.
The Seminar will introduce various Mainland investment policies including the Enterprise Income Tax Law, Employment Contract Law, Anti-monopoly Law and processing trade policy and so on, and will also investigate their impacts on overseas investors as well as Hong Kong and Macau residents.
Ma Xiuhong, Vice Minister of MOFCOM will attend the Seminar and give the keynote address. Officials from MOFCOM, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour and Social Security will also give thematic talks at the Seminar. In addition, speakers can further exchange ideas and discuss with the industry operators on topics of their concern at the Question and Answer Session.
All Macau and overseas enterprise operators are welcome to participate in the Seminar, and simultaneous interpretation services in Putonghua, Catonese, Portuguese and English will be available at the venue to facilitate effective communication.
