Arriving at the Macau Jockey Club with style via the member’s entrance, I was whisked to the ultra chic 2nd floor English Bar Room by a beautiful host of The Macau Racing Club. Just in time for the races to commence and surrounded by other owners and members, the excitement was all around. Races running in 30 minutes intervals, whilst we all enjoyed soothing drinks and delicious canapés. For race 5 host took the group downstairs, where we stood in the paddock circle with the horse owners to mingle and see the horses before they went out. We were watching the number 11 in a Class 2 race. I am still sure up to today that due to our cheering, as the grandstands erupted in a roar, our horse edged out in first by a nose. A delicious steak with grilled prawns and many drinks later I was able to return home with a photo of me and my number 11 in the winners portal. A photo I now keep in my office, the day I was the winning owner at the Jockey Club.
